Yom Ha'Atzmaut Celebration

Thursday, May 1, 2025 3 Iyyar 5785

5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Celebrate Israel’s Independence Day with your Beth El community. Together we'll enjoy Israeli dinner & Israeli dancing. We'll share songs, reflections, memories, and stories that connect us to Israel. Our children's choir will lift our spirits with a special performance, and we’ll conclude the evening with birthday cake for Israel and singing of Hatikvah.

As part of our Yom Ha'Atzmaut celebration, we invite you to reflect on your personal connection to Israel. At each table, you’ll find a set of prompts and blank cards where you can write and share your thoughts. These reflections will be part of our communal storytelling during the evening, helping us lift up the voices and experiences that connect us all.

To give you time to reflect ahead of the event, here are the prompts you’ll see on the tables:

  • Share a personal experience or memory of Israel. What moment has stayed with you?
  • Is there an IDF soldier or hostage family whose story you think we should all hear?
  • What have you learned through the WZO elections? What about this new experience felt important or meaningful to you?

We hope this will be a meaningful part of the evening for all. Let’s come together in pride, joy, and community as we celebrate 77 years of Israel!

We also celebrate the closing of the 2025 Election period for the World Zionist Congress. your chance to have your voice heard for the next five years in important policies and expenditures for Israel and world Jewry. If you have not yet voted Mercaz slate 17-the voice for Conservative/Masorti Judaism, vote here by May 4!
